Kasco Surface Aerators deliver rapid oxygen transfer and vigorous surface mixing for shallow ponds where water quality matters more than a decorative fountain pattern. Kasco recommends this style of aeration for water less than 8 feet deep. For sites 8 feet deep or deeper, compare a bottom-diffused system such as RobustAire.

Kasco rates these aerators at up to 3.0 pounds of oxygen per horsepower per hour. Actual mixing and oxygen-transfer performance depends on basin shape, depth, organic demand, weather, placement, and operating schedule.

Standard package or bottom screen?

• Standard packages include the motor unit, selected power cord, float, and mounting hardware.
• Choose a bottom-screen package where leaves, weeds, or other debris may reach the intake. The screen helps reduce clogging, but it does not replace inspection and cleaning.
• C-25 and C-220 control panels are optional and sold separately.
• The listed 1/2, 3/4, and 1 HP units carry a two-year manufacturer warranty.

Before ordering

• Confirm pond dimensions, depth profile, placement, and oxygen demand. A horsepower choice based only on surface acreage can miss important site conditions.
• Confirm voltage, GFCI-protected electrical service, cord route, and control-panel requirements with a qualified electrician.
• Plan three secure mooring points and keep the unit clear of swimming areas, heavy vegetation, and obstructions.
• Never enter the water while electrical equipment is connected or operating. Never run the aerator dry or lift it by the power cord.
• Test the GFCI monthly, inspect the unit regularly, clean it at least annually, and check the sacrificial anode every two to three months.
