Polar Blend is formulated for water temperatures from 41°F to 60°F. Its psychrophilic microorganisms are selected for activity in colder aquatic environments.
How often should Polar Blend be applied?
Apply Polar Blend every two weeks while water temperatures remain from 41°F to 60°F. Choose the amount from the current rate table and label based on surface acreage and water condition.
Can Polar Blend be used after an algaecide or herbicide treatment?
Yes. The manufacturer recommends applying Polar Blend after chemical treatment to help replenish the microbial community. Do not mix it directly with algaecides or herbicides.
Does Polar Blend kill algae or aquatic weeds?
No. Polar Blend is not a pesticide and does not directly kill algae or aquatic plants. It is intended to support cold-water microbial balance and nutrient management.
